Coppicing
‘Efficient, very polite, arrived with all the right equipment, tidy and professional.’
Coppicing
Coppicing is a traditional method of woodland management to produce timber. In order to escalate timber production coppicing exploits a simple fact of nature – trees will flourish and form new growth from the stump when cut down.
Our Tree Surgeons may be required to coppice an entire woodland or a smaller area and will repeatedly cut down young tree stems near to ground level. Cutting back selected tree species almost to ground level, on a regular cycle normally between 10 to 30 years in length. In subsequent years, many new shoots will emerge from the tree stump, and, after a number of years the coppiced tree will be ready for harvest, and the cycle begins again.
South East Tree Surgeons would be very happy to discuss our tree coppicing or tree surgery services, please get in touch for free advice and a free no-obligation written quotation.
